The West Virginia Cancer Plan serves as a framework for addressing cancer in the Mountain State.

The Cancer Plan outlines strategies for cancer control and is designed to help:

Pink & Pearl

A resource to promote both breast and lung cancer in October and November. Originally developed in Tennessee, the Pink and Pearl Campaign brings awareness about screening and the prevalence of breast and lung cancer in West Virginia and surrounding areas.

Within the toolkit are items designed to help participating organizations reach their specific audience quickly and efficiently.

Take Pride in Your Health, WV Campaign – Curated YouTube Playlist – 

A collaborative media campaign to address cancer-related health disparities in West Virginia’s LGBTQ+ population.

Proactive coverage for medically necessary oral health services can:
-Improve cancer survival rates.
-Reduce post‐treatment disability caused by cancer or cancer treatment side effects.
-Improve cancer survivors’ lifetime earnings by increasing their ability to afford treatments that allow them to return to work without diminished productivity.
-Reduce debilitating out-of-pocket expenses related to cancer treatment for cancer survivors, their families, and the everyday taxpayer.
-Reduce private-payer and state‐funded insurance costs for health care services associated with cancer treatment complications and the long‐term costs of chronic disease management.
