West Virginia has the highest rates of youth vaping in the country at 35.7%. To help address this growing issue, Mountains of Hope (MOH) partnered with the WVU School of Dentistry Certified Tobacco Specialist Training Program to offer an online, non-degree course for middle or high school teachers, nurses, or administrators with an interest in vaping and tobacco use prevention and treatment.

MOH awarded 20 scholarships for this course across 17 counties. The scholarships were awarded to five school nurses, eight counselors, five teachers, and two administrators in both middle and high school settings.
